The Lynas family involvement with the car industry started with my grandfather, Vern Lynas (Senior), in the 1920’s when he opened a Ford franchise in Hay St Perth. This was followed by a move to Adelaide in the 1930’s where he established Lynas and Fenwick a Ford Dealership in Franklin St. My Father, Vern Lynas, moved to the Barossa with his young family in 1956 and continued to maintain the family involvement in the car industry.

History Statement

Tim's journey started on November 2nd 1987 when he acquired a small Ford dealership in Tanunda in the Barossa Valley.

In January 1995 we were appointed a Honda dealer and we commenced operation at our site in Tanunda.
In June 2001 we acquired a Kia franchise and established sales and service centres in Nuriootpa.
In 2005 our continued growth necessitated a major overhaul of our facilities and brand new state - of - the - art Ford and Honda showrooms were built followed by a total upgrade of our service centre.
In 2007 we had a major overhaul of our Kia Service Centre in Nuriootpa.
In September 2008 we were appointed a Volkswagen dealer and are now operating out of our brand new Volkswagen showroom.

Today we are strategically located in two of the major centres in the heart of the Barossa providing a high level of customer service and convenience.

During our journey we have never lost sight of the importance of having satisfied customers and we have consistently won State and National customer satisfaction and sales awards.
